How to Beat the Crowds at the Lotus Temple
The Lotus Temple is free and closed on Mondays. More than 10,000 people a day visit, so there's often a queue to enter the prayer hall, especially on weekends and holidays. Go early in the morning on a weekday, soon after opening, or in the late afternoon for the light on the petals. You'll leave your shoes outside before going in.

How long is the queue at the Lotus Temple?
The Bahá'í House of Worship, shaped like a lotus flower, welcomes visitors of all faiths. Volunteers let people into the silent prayer hall in batches, so at weekends the queue in the gardens can take a while. Weekday mornings are much quicker.
