Walk up, take the bus down. Or walk both ways. On busy days, the bus queue can take longer than the walk.

Go to Marienbrücke first or last. It's the famous view, and it gets packed in the middle of the day.

Stay overnight in Füssen or Schwangau for an early tour without a 6 am train from Munich.
