Quick answer
Arrive before opening and ride the big attractions first, because morning waits are the shortest of the day. Use the free single rider lines where you can, pick a midweek day outside French school holidays, and only pay for Premier Access on the two or three rides that matter most to you. Staying in a Disney hotel gets you in early with Extra Magic Time.

How long are the queues at Disneyland Paris?
There are two parks: Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World (the former Walt Disney Studios, renamed in March). Queues for headliners like Peter Pan's Flight, Crush's Coaster and Big Thunder Mountain can easily pass an hour on a busy afternoon, while the same rides are often a short wait in the first hour of the day.
The pattern is reliable: mornings are the lowest waits, 11:30 am to 4:30 pm is the peak, and queues ease again in the evening and during parades and fireworks, when thousands of people stop to watch.
🔑 The free skip-the-line hack
Before you pick your day, check how busy Disneyland Paris is likely to be. BeatTheCrowd shows the live crowd level and an hourly forecast for any date, adjusted for French school holidays, public holidays and weather, so you can choose the calmest day of your trip.

Premier Access One
Roughly €5-20+ per ride
Buy a return time for one ride in the app, once you're inside the park
One or two must-do rides on a busy day
Premier Access Ultimate
Roughly €110-200+ per person, per day
One fast-lane entry on every eligible ride, no time slots
Short trips at peak times, when budget allows
Premier Access prices change by date and demand, so check the price in the official app on the day. It also doesn't mean zero wait: there's still a fast-lane queue, it's just much shorter.
A simple rope-drop plan
Be at the gates 30-45 minutes before opening. Security and the ticket gates take time, especially at weekends.
Head straight for the ride with the longest typical wait in whichever park you start in. In Disneyland Park that's usually Peter Pan's Flight; in Disney Adventure World, Crush's Coaster.
Do two or three headliners before 11:30 am, then switch to shows, food and smaller rides through the midday peak.
Come back to big rides during the parade or fireworks, when lines drop.
Use single rider for the thrill rides whenever the main line is long.
Best (and worst) times to go
Day of the week: Tuesday to Thursday is usually the calmest. Weekends and long weekends are the busiest.
Quietest periods: late January after New Year, February outside school holidays, the first half of March, mid-September to mid-October, and most of November.
Busiest periods: French school holidays, Easter weekend, July and August, and the Halloween and Christmas seasons.
Good balance: mid-May to mid-June and September weekdays have long opening hours without peak crowds.
🔑 The free skip-the-line hack
French school holidays change every year and vary by region. Our hourly forecast for Disneyland Paris already accounts for them, so you can see at a glance which days of your trip will be quieter.
Download the official app before you go. It shows live wait times and it's where you buy Premier Access.
Buy dated tickets online. They're cheaper than buying on the day and you skip the ticket windows.
Eat early or late. Restaurant queues peak between 12 and 2 pm, the same time the rides are busiest.
Check ride closures. Attractions close for refurbishment through the year, and the schedule is published in advance.
Leave big bags behind. Every bag goes through security at the entrance, and a small one speeds that up.
Practical info
Getting there
RER A to Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy, about 40 minutes from central Paris. The station is right at the park gates.
Opening hours
Usually from about 9:30 am into the evening, later at weekends and in summer. Hotel guests get in earlier with Extra Magic Time. Confirm in the app 6-10 weeks before.
Tickets
Dated 1-day, flexible undated, and multi-day tickets. Under-3s are free.
Two parks
Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World are a short walk apart. A 2-park ticket lets you hop between them.
Mistakes that cost you an hour
Arriving at 11 am and joining the headliner queues at their peak.
Visiting during French school holidays without checking the dates.
Buying Premier Access Ultimate for a quiet weekday when the lines are already short.
Ignoring single rider lines on the thrill rides.
Not checking which rides are closed for refurbishment.
Is Premier Access worth paying for?
On a quiet midweek day in February, probably not: rope drop and single rider will get you on most rides with short waits. On a summer Saturday or during school holidays, Premier Access One for your two or three must-do rides can save hours. Ultimate is the most expensive option and only really pays off on short, peak-time trips.
Prices change by date. Premier Access One is roughly €5-20+ per ride, and Premier Access Ultimate roughly €110-200+ per person per day. Check the price in the official app on the day.
