How to Beat the Crowds at Angkor Wat
The Angkor Pass costs $37 for one day, $62 for three days or $72 for seven days. Buy it online at angkorenterprise.gov.kh or at the ticket office. Angkor Wat opens at 5 am for sunrise, but sunrise is its busiest moment. For fewer people, do sunrise, then go to the back of the temple, or visit Angkor Wat at midday while groups are at lunch.

Hundreds of people gather at the reflecting pools for sunrise, then most tour groups follow the same loop: Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm. Visitor numbers are down on 2025, but sunrise and Ta Prohm mid-morning are still busy.
