Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway: Fares, Queues and the Best Time for Fuji Views

The Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway at Lake Kawaguchi costs about ¥1,000 return (¥600 one way) for adults and opens at 8:30 am. Tour groups arrive from about 9:30 am, and queues can reach an hour in the early afternoon, with another queue to come down. Ride at opening, when Fuji is most often clear, or walk down (30-40 minutes) to skip the return queue. New summit attractions opened in July.
